WW2 at the People's Palace

Last week, Primary 7 enjoyed a fantastic, fun-filled trip at the People's Palace to help further our knowledge about life on the Home Front during WW2.

We had an opportunity to explore the whole museum, finding out about life during the war but also life in Glasgow in the past. We found out all about life in a "Single End" which we all agreed we are thankful not to live in now!

We also attended a fabulous workshop led by Laura who helped us learn lots about rationing, evacuation, the Blitz, the Women's Land Army and lots more.

Here are some photos of us in action.

Yes, Chef!

Primary 7 have been having a fantastic time learning some new cooking skills with Pascal, Head Chef from the Glynhill.

Last week, we learned how to make delicious turkey and vegetable stir fry. We learned all about some interesting ingredients and how to safely prepare them, and all helped to peel, chop and cook the dish (but the best part was getting to try it at the end!!)

Here we are in action - cooking up a storm!
